uh ah uh ahhhhhhhhhh

this is her very first hit...her success is a controversial matter. I think she's the best Italian woman musician. good guitarist and great voice.
brava carmen!
her lyrics are learned and complex that's why many Italians just don't like her.

did you have a nice weekend?
I went to visit my grandad, who had a heart attack. but now he's ok.
I reminds me of cocoon ;D

cheers

Aha, I got you...

I was wondering are you gonna like it or not.
I got this clip from one lady(una bella donna) from my former country who lives now in Italy.
As you said, Carmen is a liitle bit controversial but that's what makes her different. Of course, her voice (an Italian Tracy Chapmen), style, beauty, only I don't understand lyrics.
That' why she is not controversial to me...lol.

Sorry for you grandpa, hope he is going to be OK.
Btw, my Sunday afternoon is gorgeous and stil alive. November sun, chilli but pleasant. I'll go out for a walk.

Take care

hi
consoli is not one of my very favourites but she's very good, indeed.

I find the phrase "my former country" interesting and meaningful. but I'll make the effort not to ask...
;)

I love the comedian you're often posting. he really makes me laugh. I find his research about languages and habits particularly interesting and also fun.

you had a gorgeous week-end...happy about that! :)

cheers

Ciao Lesha,

You can always ask me whatever you want to know about "my former country". No hesitation.
I use that phrase to describe all people with the same(politically correct-similar)language and cultural background that once used to live in the same country. South Slavs. The Balkanians...

Yours truly ,

Naturalized Canadian, with Bosnian nationality/soul, Croatian ethnicity/origin and Slovenian place of birth.

Neat...
Maybe I have same relatives Lombardia as well.

Well, well... I heard/read what you wrote many times with a lot of different combinations.
anyway, it is not possible to divide a soul/person/mind/body into pieces after the Dayton accords.
I must confess I'm pretty confused about it and I'm still trying to work out the politically correct way of approaching the matter without giving any support to nationalisms...

Your relatives are likely to be very near here. some Bosnian people live here, and there is a twinning of my town and Zavidovici in Bosnia.

I looked for some books of the authors you recommended but the public library here doesn't offer much except for andric and the two Serbian authors you named (yes, no selimovic at the most important public library of the second town in Lombardia, it's a shame). I'm gonna buy them.

have a nice day

Well, well...when I said I (might) have relatives in Lombardia, that was just a figure of speech. I was thinking it would be nice if Lesha is some of them.

Knock, knock...ciao Lesha...do you remember me...your cousin from Canada?
Noooooooooo.....

Oh sorry, I didn't catch it!
of course you have at least a relative here, and you are always welcome, dear canadian cousin.

It's easy to be friendly and hospitable with a stranger (wow, how groovy!) using a nickname and an avatar with a weird hairdo...;D

cheeeeers

I like your weird hairdo...lol

Btw, I have a picture in my head that you look like Carmen Consoli with Giovanni Andricci's books under left arm instead of guitar...

LOL
nice picture...

nice the pictures of your (?) first love and first birthday. the toys are amazing. I had a plastic pluto I guess of the same series of your donald duck

as for laibach...I used to know him/them but totally forgotten. I'm afraid of laibach

nobody understood my last post...would you try?
thanks

cheers

Ciao Lesha,

Believe it or not, my first "love" was "originally" from Trieste...lol.
The doll was my mom's socialistic "aggression" onto capitalistic Trieste...Ponte Rosso shopping...late 60's/early 70's...I'm not sure for shoes and pants did she buy them in Trieste as well.
Don't I look groooooovy, do I ?

Don't be afraid of Laibach. They are the southslavic subcultural icons. Neue Slowenische Kunst. Movement. Institution. Legends...

Now, I'm going to see your last post. I'll take a guess to understand " what writer wanted to say"...

Cheers

the Levantine first love, then.
trieste (trst...did you, over there, run out of vowels?) broke so many hearts. joyce lived there.

you're mom's socialist aggression ended up in shopping, I can't believe it! it's so revolutionary, from a socialist point of view ;-))

I'm far more afraid of laibach than I was before, now that I visited their website. I hope I'll never meet that guy, holding your doll by the hair, in the dark of a notorious lane in Trst... ;-))

Mit totalen Respekt fuer die Neue Slowenische Kunst.

cheers
:)

I've never been in Italy. My parents used to live close to Italian border and my mom, I assume, often went for a shopping in Trieste.

Speaking of Laibach, there's nothing to be afraid of. They're just the artists with different perception. Life is life...ohmmmmmm
